Meet Kendra
When you were five, what did you dream of becoming?
A teacher! It's been a lifelong dream!
What’s one thing on your bucket list?
To run the Disney marathon!
What inspired you to work in education?
I'm so inspired by all the different ways there are to learn. I appreciate all brains and how they work differently. I want to empower all students to feel brilliant and love learning.
What was your favorite book or story as a child?
Where the Red Fern Grows, Mr. Poppers Penguins, Little House on the Prairie Series
How do you love to spend your weekends?
My perfect weekend is filled with family time, reading, and running.
What’s your favorite thing about being part of the CALE community?
I love the people of CALE! The staff and students are top notch! I love that CALE looks at the big picture. We care about the whole child- academically, socially, emotionally, etc. I love that it is a safe space for all students to grow and thrive.
Share a fun fact or hidden talent that might surprise us!
The furthest I have ever ran at one time was a 50k (32 miles). I may not be fast, but I can go for a long time!
