Integrated Academics
Throughout the day, students engage in an integrated approach to academics. They continue to benefit from the multi-age learning environment, allowing them to master standards in their learning progression. Moreover, they apply these skills across various content areas, delving deeper into the study of subjects like science and social studies. Our hands-on learning experiences are engaging and enriching.
Nurturing Social-Emotional Growth
We recognize that navigating friendships and interpersonal dynamics can be challenging at any age. Therefore, we prioritize social-emotional growth by providing opportunities for students to learn how to effectively communicate, problem-solve, and work through difficulties. Our students are encouraged to meet challenges head-on, developing resilience and the necessary tools to navigate tough situations. We work collaboratively with parents to foster independence, communication, and self-advocacy skills.
Comprehensive Remediation
At CALE, we prioritize addressing any gaps in students' foundational skills. When students join us, we ensure they have a strong foundation in reading and math. If any gaps are identified, targeted interventions will be provided to support their progress.
Executive Functioning
Middle school students must learn how to manage their day and their time. These skills are necessary not only for school, but also as they prepare for higher education and ultimately, the workforce. We intentionally make this part of our focus at CALE.
